TOXIC FOODS
Toxic foods are poisonous to hedgehogs and should be completely avoided.
- Grapes
- Raisins
- Tea Tree oil
- Chocolate
- Avocado
- Garlic
- Potato
- Egg yolk
- Apple seeds
- Citrus fruits
UNSAFE FOODS
Unsafe foods are dangerous to hedgehogs because they can cause harm or injury to the animal due to their attributes.
- Dairy products (they are lactose intolerant)
- Foods treated with pesticides
- Wild insects
- Pineapple
- Tomato
UNHEALTHY FOODS
Unhealthy foods won’t necessarily cause lasting harm but should be limited to avoid negative impact on their health.
- Nuts and seeds (and other high-fat foods)
- Bread
- Corn
- Carrots
- Celery
