Don’t think about it just buy it! My hamster was a rescue that didn’t have a proper sized wheel. So I started her off with the Kaytee comfort wheel until I could finally afford this one. The first time she got on it, I couldn’t get her off of it. I’m pretty sure she ran for like 30 minutes straight. The only downside is I couldn’t get her off of it; so, the sandy track did cause small cuts on her feet. The instructions do say to limit wheel time; so, it was my fault. They quickly healed and she was at it again. The wheel is almost silent. I can only here her feet as she runs on the wheel. I duct tape the wheel to the bottom of her cage and haven’t had any issues with it moving. So, there’s basically no reason to not get the wheel.
For reference, I own a Syrian female. She’s about 6.5 inches in length and kind of chunky. I probably could have sprung for the 9 inch wheel, but not regrets. - Shyan H.

The 12" silent wheel was a real hit with my squirrel. She spins it like crazy. I had to add a wood support to my cage that has hardware cloth on it. A regular metal cage this would not be necessary. A wheel is paramount for exercise and mental stimulation. - Maggie T.

It’s a good wheel and it’s fairly quiet but every now and then it gets stuck and my Syrian hamster Winnie can’t get it to spin. So, she climbs up to the side trying to get it to spin and then falls off of it. -Abbi

Besides the stand being super close to the base of the wheel, some folks may not like that, I think this wheel is amazing! I saw it on a few YouTuber's cages and decided to give it a shot. It's incredibly quiet and super easy to clean! I know I sound like an ad but it's true. Absolutely love it. Wish I bought one sooner! -Vanessa P.

Overall a really good wheel. I see a lot of ppl complaining a about how the wheel isn't high enough off the ground but for me it was perfect because if it was higher it wouldn't hv fit in the cage. Its a nice wheel and almost silent, it took around 3 weeks to come (to Canada) which is long but it prob got delayed bc of covid. -Lily W.

The wheel is sturdy and as quiet as the company claims. The stand that this particular size comes with makes the wheel a bit wobbly. My syrian hamster can't figure it out, but that may just be my silly hamster going from a small wheel to a really large wheel. -Melissa H.

I bought three of these wheels and I am not happy , they are so low to the ground you have to move all the bedding away or the wheel will not spin . I have had to go in the cages multiple times and push the wheel back as when they start running the wheel moves in cage. Then I tried a wood platform and because the base is so light it moves all over as they are running in wheel. I will be taking these wheels out and will go back to my kaytee wheels at least I can attach those to the cage and adjust the height on them. -Meliisa P.

i love this and so does my syrian hamster!! my only complaint is that the clip in the middle is difficult to remove and out back in. i ended up using pliers to take it out, and then used a metal keychain with a clasp/hook. other than that i recommend :) -August P.

Broke within two months. It broke without really any pressure. I am in Canada so it's more expensive. Super unfortunate. As this is great variety of wheels. I feel mine was a defect. It also became loud very quickly. -Tanisha B.

I love this wheel. I bought it in anticipation for a new hamster I will be adopting in a couple of months. Packaging was great and shipping updates were much appreciated. Only thing is, shipping to Canada was more expensive than the wheel! It's so hard to buy good wheels in Canada, but I hope it's worth the extra price. -Tiffany X.

My little guy (Syrian hamster) absolution LOVES his wheel, he wouldn’t even stop running for food! we had the silent spinner 12 inch which he could barely push and kept coming unhinges and falling over this wheel is a much better size and price for the quality very happy with this product and would buy again. It's better than the silent runner as it doesn't come unhinged as the hamster runs. My young hamster gets this thing moving so fast that it becomes very noisy. Even though she is a bigger hamster than my other one (who runs in the silent runner), she is less likely to break the wodent wheel vs the silent runner I have for my elderly hamster. I wish someone would make a hamster wheel built for speed marathon runners. Haven't seen a wheel with enough support for a smooth and quiet run. -Shannon A.

My hamster is 6 months old and full on makes this thing rock like an 80s band. After a few cleanings, the little connector to hold the wheel in finally became easier to push through without the help of a towel to prevent poking a hole in my finger. I have tried hanging it upside down and now duct taped to the cage floor but holy Toledo! It sounds like soccer cleats in the dryer. This wheel doesn't compare to what is now my favorite wheel, Kaytee wheel. The Kaytee wheel is priced right and with aid of yarn wrapped around between back of wheel and connector, it runs better that these wheels. You should get what you pay for and you don't here. -Shannon A.

Some of the previous reviews made me a bit skeptical of this wheel but I ended up being very happy with it, and so is my dwarf hybrid :) i did notice it was a bit difficult for him to push (I purchased the 11” for him), so I removed the pin that keeps the wheel tight against the axel and this worked great. The wheel stays in place even without the pin and my hamster has no issues running on it. I’ve also seen some people say this this wheel is difficult to clean but the guard snaps in and off very simply so I’ve had no issues at all! Overall very happy with this purchase. -Abigail L.

I love this wheel! After my previous Silent Spinner broke, I ordered one of these. I didn't expect much of it because it was so cheap. After having it for about 2 weeks, it started squeaking a little bit, but that as an easy fix.
I saw a comment saying it was too big for a Syrian Hamster, due to the size of the Bin Cage. If your Syrian is on the larger side, like mine, then the 8 Inch wheel might be too small. If your hamster is a rather small Syrian, then go for the 8 inch!
May I also suggest upgrading your cage? An IKEA Detolf is a cheap option, having about 1,000 sq. in. of floorspace. In the US, it only costs about $60. -Maddy

So first I got this for my Syrian,its a good wheel but I recommend getting the 8 inch one because its a little smaller;the only problem I have with this wheel is if your hamster or small animal runs on it really fast it makes noise. This wheel is made from cheap plastic, its loud, plus when my hamster runs is moves because its so light. It bangs against its self and its not even green its blue! So I probably wouldn't buy this wheel again and if you are going to buy for a Syrian get the 8" inch one because the 11" inch one is to big to even fit in my Syrians bin cage so then my hammie cant move it!! At first I was ecstatic to finally get it now not so much. - Mila

Honestly couldn’t be any happier with these guys! I was concerned that the color wouldn’t be green and black, (because most places online you don’t get to pick the color & I WANTED green/black) so I ordered it and in the comment it let me say something personal so I put that I preferred a green/black wheel & I got a response saying that’s what color I would get! Also I believe I ordered it on a Thursday or Friday, with 3day business shipping & I received it on Tuesday morning! & regarding the wheel itself, it’s absolutely perfect. Bought this for my teddy bear hamster, Lorenzo. He loves it, and enjoys going in and out of each hole. The wheel is incredibly silent, the only thing I would change would be to make the base slightly taller. We had to tape the wheel to a piece of cardboard to place in his tank because it wouldn’t stand on the bedding, and we couldn’t place the base under the bedding to keep it secure otherwise he couldn’t run on it. Overall I’m pleased with the product, and am glad I could find a wheel that wouldn’t bend my hamsters back. -Faith L
