All captive animals require toys to provide entertainment in the cage, especially when left alone for extended periods. It is imperative for mental and physical health to have an array of stimulating toys available at all times. Toys enrich the lives of pets while encouraging natural foraging instincts found in the wild. Add 2-3 toys to your pet's cage at a time and switch them out regularly for continued stimulation.

Always supervise pets at play. Thoroughly inspect toys and accessories on a daily basis. Wipe product clean with a damp soft cloth as needed before returning it to the cage.

My sugar glider loves this toy!!! He learned to hold it still and stick his hand inside to get the treats!

It took a few weeks for my suggie girls to figure it out. But they finally did. Sure glad they were able to get it! - Vanessa B.

I was excited about this but it’s just not the best quality. I’m not sure if it came broken or one of my kids broke it when checking it out. Either way, I was expecting better quality. I will order from this company again because everything else was ok. -Mary R.

was fun for the week it lasted. my pets ended up chewing the whole thing apart. in hindsight this toy shouldnt be made out of plastic considering the animals its for.

A cute idea but my gliders never did figure out how to use it. I even resorted to pieces of their favorite yogurt drops thinking they would smell it and be inclined to decode this thing but nope, treats still in the egg. -Tanya O.

While not designed for hamsters specifically, this treat dispenser provides an enriching challenge for my hamster. She has learned how to use it, and while she may need help tipping it all the way, she knows how to get treats out of it. It matches other items in my cage and provided a fun, interactive toy for both hamster and human alike. -Caroline M.

Our sugar glider got so fed up with this toy when she couldn’t figure out how to get treats out of it immediately- it was hilarious. It’s a great buy because it encourages mental stimulation and exercise to figure out how to get the treats out. She tried reaching in, biting it, and finally got so aggravated in the first day that in rebellion she pooped on the little tray.😂 It was hysterical watching her try to figure out how to operate the treat dispenser. I highly recommend this toy because it’s great for sugar gliders and it took ours probably a week and a half to figure out that all she had to do was flip it over for the treats to fall out. She loves figuring things out, but it she can’t figure it out in the first 5 min or so, well suffice to say she puts on quite a show! -Madison D.

My hedgehog hasn’t figured it out yet but that doesn’t mean she won’t, she’s rather lazy. It’s cute and fun I hope she will discover this soon. -Jessica S.

I bought this to stimulate my Gliders they like to look for yogurt drops which is really the only treat they eat. Immediately they went over to it and spun it and tried to get the treat out but it wouldn’t drop out because the hole is so small so they became discouraged. It’s not broken or anything just that this toy is not made for yogurt drops. I might end up just trying to out in the birds cage. It’s super cute though. -Laura B.

It's easy for the gliders to manipulate to get the treats. This is the second one I've purchase and I just realised that there's a mirror. The first one I bought was without the mirror but had glue marks on it so I think that one was a defect one. -Cheung L.

One of my gliders loves this toy. She figured it out fairly quickly but with a couple small treats it keeps her busy. My other glider has yet to figure out how to use it (or any other toy) but the shelf allows her to get some use out of it with help from her sister. The opening is small. Island Blend Treats would fit but I have been finely dicing dried coconut. -Melanie D.

It broke only after a couple days. -Charlea M.

by Samwarren629 on April 28, 2018

I got this in the mail today. It did come broken. The "egg" part where you put the treats inside was in halves. I figured it snapped back together or something but it didn't. I ended up taping it back together. Even though it is broken. I still love this and would recommend it. I put a few pieces of oatmeal and some fruit treats inside and both my babies worked for several minutes before figuring out how to tip it to dispense the treats. However, I will not be able to leave it in the cage at night because I want to be able to monitor them since I had to tape it. -Samantha W.

My 2 sugar gliders love it, between trying to get the treats out and looking at themselves they have so much fun.

Treats must be a very specific size in this one. It's a love-hate review from my Sugar gliders. They're so excited when they figure out how to get the treat; but sometimes they get impatient and try to bite it into submission.

by Anonymous on November 30, 2017

It's bigger than I expected- but my glider seems to like it.

My glider loves when I put treats and this in his cage. I don't leave it in the cage all the time and he looks forward to finding his treats. He has figured out several ways to get the treats out and he likes to look at himself in the mirror on the backside.

This treat dispenser is definitely worth the money. It hooks onto our cage super easy and our cage is made of hardware cloth. Love this interactive toy.

First of all, let me preface this by thanking Exotic Nutrition for replacing this after my first one broke (turns out you are not suppose to take it out of its holder) After receiving the second one, I was highly disappointed in the size of the treats that must be used (for me it seems applicable only for small treats such as nuts). I would not recommend this product. [Note from seller: suggested treats for this toy are Island Blend, Calci-Worms, Sugar Glider Yummies, Fruit-tastic, Eucalyptus Leaves]

It only lasted a day, my gliders figured it out that fast.
