The box doesn't have a bottom in it either. The construction of it is also lacking. When putting the box together, the slots cut for putting together broke off on one side. Tried glueing it but didn't work. Guess I'm out that $13. -Renad L.

I bought two of these, one for each Syrian hamster that I have. Both of the hamsters love this hideaway hut. I actually like that this doesn't have a floor because hamsters like to tunnel and they lift one side and have a second entry/exit tunnel under the hideaway hut to go in/out. There's enough space for them to have a lot of bedding in there and feel secure. Easy assembly with no screws-it's all wood. -Laura G.
