Borneo Cage with Shelves

I have three of these for rehab squirrels and I don’t like them. There are no feed doors, just the large doors which makes escapes way too easy. Also, the catch pans at the bottom…don’t come out for cleaning unless the large door is open. So, every time I clean I have to catch a squirrel and put them in a carrier. I wish I had put one together before I purchased any others. The Congo cage at least has feed doors and a pan that slides out under the living area without opening the cage. That one I like even though the living space is smaller. Very frustrating that I spent this much money on a poor design. I did put these together by myself and they weren’t that difficult to assemble. -Suzanne H.

Overall I love this cage and it’s perfect size for 1-2 chinchillas! It was easy to put together with help or alone, but certain steps can be a bit challenging to build the cage by yourself so keep this in mind! The only thing I personally didn’t like about the cage is that the doors are hard to close and I have to kind of push the bottom in with my foot since they get hung up some. The doors also sometimes get a bit stuck when trying to open them but I don’t think it’s something that can’t be fixed! - Courtney R.

Just purchased this cage with high hopes. Doors stick and you need to push and pull with force to get them open or closed, terrible! Then the fact that the factory drilled holes in one of the doors in the wrong places and visually you now get to look at the factory mess up when you look at the cage. We called and messaged and nobody was willing to help resolve the issue. We sent pictures and they admitted to the factory mess up and still would not make it right. This is NOT what I payed for and this is a terrible way to do business! Awful. -Ryan N.

Due to the size and weight of the doors, sometimes you may need to pull or lift the doors to open and close them. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by that.
