All captive animals require toys to provide entertainment in the cage, especially when left alone for extended periods. It is imperative for mental and physical health to have an array of stimulating toys available at all times. Toys enrich the lives of pets while encouraging natural foraging instincts found in the wild. Add 2-3 toys to your pet's cage at a time and switch them out regularly for continued stimulation.

My rat girls weren’t really able to get treats out very well so I broke the treats up a bit and they were able to get a couple out but lost interest quickly. I think if the opening were larger it would be easier for them to get the treats out and I wouldn’t have to break the already small treats. I’m gonna try some other types of treats and see if they find it more appealing. -Jana B

My sugars were only able to get a few treats out the first day. I don't know if they've even tried since, but I replaced treats with smaller pieces and none seem to be missing. I do like that it fits on the side of the cage. I use these types of items to make the area my water bottles hang from narrower so the looped metal wire holding it in doesn't spread too far and allow the bottle to fall. -Kristen S.

My squirrels loved this but popped it off quickly and chewed it so it cannot be used anymore. Neat for a couple days. Also most treats got stuck so I had to break them in small pieces. Which would be fine if it was more sturdy. - Elizabeth M.

It didn't take long for my degus to figure out how this works. Now they get so excited when I'm putting in their pea flake treats. -
