Dried mealworms are an incredible food source for many species of birds, reptiles and mammals. Easy to feed and store, they offer a high protein content (50%), and seem to be very tasty to many animals. We began selling dried mealworms as a supplemental food source for Sugar Gliders and Hedgehogs. We didn't realize that wild birds, particularly bluebirds, love to feed on the dried mealworms too.
After expanding our volume to include larger sized packages, the chicken enthusiest caught on to the new trend, people that kept fancy chickens began to phone us requesting the product for their fancy chickens. Repeat customers phoned to let us know that they now refer to the dried mealworms as 'chicken crack' because of the enthusiasm that their chickens were displaying.
We now offer dried mealworms in many different sized packages. If you own a Sugar Glider, Hedgehog, insect eating reptile, or you are a wild bird enthusiast or fancy chicken enthusiast, give some dried mealworms a try!
