On the whole, however, this cage is a huge improvement over what we had and over the other stuff I found online. The finish is great, easy to clean, and appears to have long life. The stand makes the pull out drawer easy to use and I like the fact that the bottom shelf slides out, too. The hinges are "unchewable" yea! The chins had chewed the wrap-around hinges on the old cage until only one was left, making the door a risky venture and forcing our hand to buy a new one.
